PBA: "Balik Imports"


This coming PBA Governor's Cup some of the imports will be familiar. Paul Harris will be suiting up for Ginebra. Harris is the former import of TNT and led the team to win the championship in the 2011 Commisioner's Cup. Harris averaged 25.62 points 12 rebounds and 2.52 assists playing with TNT.

Dior Lawhorn who played for Ginebra and Globalport will suit up for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Lawhorn a bulky 6-foot-5 player who averaged more than 30 points and 11 rebounds in his two conference stint in the PBA. Elasto Painters Coach Yeng Guiao told to InterAksyon.com in an interview that Lawhorn style of play is similar to Pierre Henderson-Niles who help them won the championship last conference.

Former Alaska import Henry Walker will be the import of the NLEX Road Warrios. Walker a NBA second round pick  played for three teams – the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Miami Heat. Walker averaged not more than 22 points and close to 9 rebounds in his stint with Alaska. Walker also nearly averaged 6 assists per game in the PBA.

Allen Durham, who played for Barako Bull during the Governor's cup in the 2013-2014 season, will be the reinforcement of the Bolts. He averaged 25.50 points, 23 rebounds, and 6 steals after playing 4 games for Barako Bull.

Blackwater Elite will have Eric Dawson as their import this coming Governor's Cup. The 6-foot-9 import once scored 57 points against Petron Blaze. Dawson played 17 games with meralco and averaged 29.59 points, 16 boards, 2.82 assits, 3.12 steals and 1.88 blocks.

Dominique Sutton who played for Air-21 Express in the 2014 Governors Cup will play for Globalport. He played a total of 10 games with Air 21 and averaged 26 points and 15.40 rebounds. He and his NBA D-League team Santa Cruz Warriors won the championship title of the league. He also joined Golden State Warriors in the NBA Summer League last year.

Marqus Blakely will be back for the Hotshots as well as AZ Reid for the San Miguel Beermen.
